Periscope EP

Craig Heneveld and Eli Spiral have joined forces to create a unique blend of deep, hypnotic techno with their debut EP “Periscope” on Hypnotic Room. The EP features two tracks, “Periscope” and “Distant Objects,” which showcase the duo’s ability to conjure up an immersive dancefloor experience.

Eli Spiral, known for his sound in the progressive world, and Craig Heneveld, with his newfound love for raw and hypnotic techno, have created a release that is both familiar and fresh. “Periscope,” the title track of the EP, pushes the limits of proper club systems through refined sub-sonics. Being led by modular and other analog gear, the track features alluring synth parts used to tell a compelling story. The ethereal landscape, percussion work, and driving low-end create a relentless momentum that will keep the dancefloor moving. “Distant Objects,” the second track of the EP, follows suit but with a slightly more introspective approach that showcases the duo’s ability to create a soundscape that is both meditative and engaging. The track features gritty pad movements, female space vocals, and subtle 303 inflections.

Craig and Eli have been producing music for years, but “Periscope” marks their first collaboration. The EP is a testament to their shared vision for techno and progressive music.
